This beach was named after Giovanni Borsetti, to popular acclaim, in 1917. Borsetti was a courageous customs official and well loved shoemaker during the time of the Kingdom of Italy.
You can still visit the ancient customs house today thanks to reconstruction which took place in the 1990s.
Casal Borsetti is now a quiet tourist location which has made of the beach, the natural surroundings and the hospitality its business card.
It is an excellent starting point for walking or cycling routes which pass through the pine forest behind the beach and lead to the Delta Park Oasis. The wide selection of accommodation and restaurants complete the appeal of this little town where the proximity to nature makes every moment spent here precious. We especially recommend the picturesque walk along the docks at night, where you can see the fishermen with their characteristic “bilancini” (weighing scales).
